Coming Soon: Lifeline South Coast Kiama Retail Shop!

Exciting news for our Kiama community! Lifeline South Coast is opening a brand-new shop in Kiama, bringing our mission of supporting local people and suicide prevention closer to home.

We’re aiming to open our doors by July—and hopefully even sooner! The shop will be operating 7 days a week, making it easier than ever for you to find a treasure, donate your pre-loved items, or get involved as a volunteer.

Stay tuned—there’s a lot more to come, including details about our grand opening, special offers, and ways for you to support our vital programs.

Every Lifeline shop plays a vital role in funding our 24/7 crisis support line, which answers over 30,000 calls each year across our region.

By volunteering, you’re not just helping run a shop, you’re helping save lives.

 

About the Roles

We have a range of volunteer roles available:

  • Customer service
  • Cashier | Till and EFTPOS
  • Donation sorting and pricing
  • Visual merchandising/stock presentation on the floor
  • Preparing donations for the shop floor
  • Plus so much more!

Time Commitment

  • Monday - Sunday 
    • 8:30am - 4:30pm
    • Shifts available weekly or fortnightly
  •  While we offer flexible shifts, our core volunteer team plays a vital role in supporting the shop by committing to full-day shifts, helping ensure smooth and successful daily operations. 
  • We also understand that life happens—people need time off, and we’re always happy to accommodate the changing needs of our volunteers. 

Requirements

Anyone can become a volunteer with Lifeline South Coast. No experience needed – full training and support provided.

  • A positive, can-do attitude
    Willingness to be part of a team and support the community
  • A range of roles available – from active/manual tasks to lighter duties
  • We’ll work with you to find a role that suits your abilities and availability
